Brabham, Sr., 74, a native of Liberty, MS and resident of Gheens passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Visitation will be held at Vacherie Gheens Community Center on Friday, May 26th from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume at the Center on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral Services will be held at the Center at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen Ann Brabham, sons, James D. "Dewitt" (Sheryl) Brabham, Jr., Thomas T. "Tommy" (Elizabeth) Brabham and Lonnie(Leslie) Pelotto; daughters, Rachel A. (Ryan) Dupre, Lou Ellen T. (Kenny) Pellegrin and Michelle "Mimi" (Robert) Guidry; brother, Philip Brabham; sisters, Alexzene Banker and Patricia Myers; 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius T. and Bertha Hodges Brabham, brothers, Quinn Brabham, Julius Brabham, Jr. and Herbert Brabham; sister, Julia Mae Morgan, Geraldine Jenkins and Arie Jean Smith, He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Larose. He serviced in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 83 in Lockport. He was retired from Valentine Paper Company.
