Daymon Rayshod Brown, 23, a native and resident of Houma, passed away at 5:24 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 146 Banks Street, Houma, La. 

Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Carriel Amari Butler; mother, Shantel Marie Brown (Isaac); father, Eddie Hopkins (Theresa); grandfather, Lionel Lewis Sr.; godfather, Murray Mitchell; brothers, John and Jace Brown, Randall Norman, Germaine Johnson Jr., Daveion and Deron Hopkins, Trevon Smith and Elijah McGuire; sisters, Hilda McKay and Kenyontae Smith.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hilda T. Lewis and Clifford Brown Sr.; paternal grandparents, Pamela Williams and Eddie Hopkins; and godmother, Linda Coleman Mitchell.
