Visitation will take place on May 15, 2017 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church from 9 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery. Mrs. Gale is survived by her son; Keith E. Cheramie, daughter; Bekki Cheramie Sandras (Roddy), grandchildren; Trevor Sandras (Jana), Celeste Sandras, and Shelbie Verdun (Quincy), great grandchildren; Justin Eymard, Devon and Draven Sandras, and sister-in-law; Eva Cheramie. Mrs. Cheramie was preceded in death by her husband; Oleus S. "Bobby" Cheramie, parents; Harry L. Fuller and Melaine Bouzigard Fuller, brother-in-law; Andrew Cheramie, and Tilman Melancon, and sister-in-law; Neva Melancon. She was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Council 9000 and it's first president, serving for over 20 years, and was the first lady awarded Super Bull of the Bull Club Fair. She was the recipient of numerous awards through the Knights of Columbus and KC Ladies Auxiliary, the Archdiocese, and numerous clubs and organizations and the originator of the Bereavement Food Committee at Our Lady of Prompt Succor and was a caregiver to many in her family. Mais Ma loved going to the casinos, garage sales, playing Po-ke-no, crafting, going to the movies, watching her programs, and spending time with her family. She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Lady of the Sea Hospital and ER, Home Health, and Dr. Camille and her staff for the care and compassion shown.
