James Conner, an LSU sports fan and outdoorsman, passed away after a long 
illness on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the age of 70. 

He was a graduate of Thibodeaux High School and The University of Southwestern 
Louisiana where he was a proud member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. 

James was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Conner; and his parents, John 
Conner and Clara Fontenot Conner. 

James is survived by the love of his life, Jennifer Ardoin Conner; and his 
children, Katie Conner Santangelo (Lance) and Benjamin Craig Conner 
(Stephanie). 
He leaves behind five grandchildren who were the light in his heart, Reece 
Santangelo, Remy Santangelo, Landry Conner, Rowan Santangelo and Michael James 
Santangelo. 

James was employed for years by Brown & Root and later was a self-employed 
accountant. He was a member of The Terrytown Lion's Club. 

A private service will be scheduled at a later date.
