Lois Ann Foret, 89, a native and resident of Chauvin, passed away on May 29, 
2017. 

Lois had a great love of cooking traditional Sunday dinners for all her 
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a self-taught 
seamstress at a young age and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed spending time 
with cherished friends playing Bingo, cards and going to the casino. Lois was a 
member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion, Ladies Alter Society and 
was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. Joseph Church - Chauvin 
from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 
Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Church - Chauvin, at 11:00 am. 

Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Cemetery - Chauvin.

She is survived by her three daughters, Tillie Cheramie and husband Depp, 
Jennifer Belanger and husband Allen, Becky Usie and husband Eric; son, Rudy 
Foret andwife Brenda; 10 grandchildren - Todd Foret(Tanya), Jody Foret(Dawn), 
Katie Matherne(Chad), Rudy Foret(Marissa), Michelle Patterson(David), Kevin 
Belanger, Beau Belanger(Jena), Abbie Bascle(Craig), Amber Null(Billy) and Hud 
Usie, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Ray 
Pellegrin; sister, Merle Authement.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Foret; father, Evest Pellegrin; 
mother, Angel Babin Pellegrin; 1 great-granddaughter, two sisters, Ouida 
Lirette, Yvette Roddy; brother, Russell Pellegrin.

Samart Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
