She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Houma, LA on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time. Antoinette is survived by her sons, Jerome Lirette and wife Darlene Landry Lirette, and Leland Lirette Jr and wife Lois Smith Lirette; Daughters, Angela Lirette Breaux, Janice Lirette Arsenaux and husband William Arsenaux; Sister, Mary Valure Bergeron; grandchildren, Scott and Corey Breaux, Jerome Lirette Jr., Joseph and Baillie Lirette, Nicole Lirette Danos, Jennifer and Jonathan Picou; and Great Grandchildren: Brittan, Zachary, Dylan, Carter and Camden Breaux, and Jacob, Dylan, Kolbi and Alyssa Lirette. She is preceded by her parents Antonio Valure and Nunzia Valure; her former husband Leland D. Lirette Sr., Grandchild, Brayden Breaux; and brothers and sisters, Salvatore “Sam” Filardo, Victor Filardo, Rosalie “Lilly” Filardo Trippy, Camillo Filardo Palmer, Catherine “Tina” Filardo Streva, Agnazio, Louis, Joseph, Samuel, Johnny Valure, and Frank Valure, Josephine Valure Stringer, and Frances Valure Belanger. Antoinette took great care of her family in every way she could and loved all her family dearly. Her favorite pastimes were fishing and crabbing (and her specialty was catching crabs with vienna sausages). She enjoyed listening to music of the Big Band era with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. She also enjoyed volunteering with her family for the St. Joseph’s Alter. Antoinette was quick witted and clever. If you asked her for advice (and even when you didn't) she always “told it like it was”. She will be dearly missed by her family. She will never be forgotten and always loved. Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the Lirette family. ======================
