Gertrude LeBlanc Olds, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:42PM. 

Born July 05, 1925, she was born in New Orleans a longtime resident of Lockport and was a current resident of Thibodaux, LA.

No services are scheduled at this time. 
A family gathering will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her daughters, Iris (David) Chauvin, Florida, JoAnn (Michael) 
Williams; grandchildren, Sean Chauvin, Jade (Brent) Chauvin Collins, Rhiannon N. 
Williams, Benjamin Chauvin; great grandchildren, Alexa, Aidan and Lucia Collins; 
sister, Lucy L. Davidson; brother, Joseph LeBlanc and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” H. Olds; parents, Anatole and Gertie Sevin LeBlanc; son, Patrick W. Olds; brothers, Roy, Floyd and Louis LeBlanc; sisters, Ruby LeBlanc and Audrey L. Falgout.

Gertrude was widowed at a young age and raised three young children alone. She was our pillar of strength growing up. She enjoyed gardening and needle point and became known as the calendar lady. An avid Saints fan, she made many black and gold calendars for family and friends. 

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. We love you more, forever in our hearts, rest in peace. You have left us with Strength and courage to endure. And we know we can do all things through Christ - Philippians 4:13.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
