Rodrigue, Murphy Jean Jr., 66, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. 
He was a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time at 
Maria Immacolata Church in Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on 
Thursday at 1:00PM at Maria Immacolata Church 

with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Murphy is survived by his loving wife of forty seven years; Adeline Trahan 
Rodrigue; Children, Sherry Rodrigue and husband Chad, Shelly Rodrigue Abbott and 
husband Neil Abbott III; Grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, and Payton; Brother, 
Steward Rodrigue and wife Joy and Sister, Arlene Rodrigue Benoit; Mother-in-Law, 
Mamie Trahan, Brother-in-Law, Linwood Trahan.

He is preceded by his, Parents, Murphy Jean Rodrigue Sr. and Lena Chiasson 
Rodrigue; Sister, Patricia Rodrigue; Brother, Michael Rodrigue; Father-in-Law, 
Leonce Trahan.

Murphy was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grand-father.  He was a 
devout Catholic and a parishioner of Maria Immaculata Church, where he served 
both on the parish council and in the Knights of Columbus.  His big heart, 
contagious smile and sense of humor will be missed by many.

Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve the Rodrigue family.
