She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Raceland, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home beginning at 5:00PM and concluding at 9:00PM. Visitation will continue at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, LA on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday at 11:00AM with burial to follow in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. Sheila is survived by her loving husband of forty-three years, Robert Theriot; her Children, Robert Theriot and wife Bridget and William Theriot and companion Stacey Authement; Brothers and Sisters, Charles, Anna, Angela, Autry, Timothy, Joseph, Patricia, Carlton, Marjorie, and Wenona; and Grandchildren, Morgan, Ethan, Jaimee, and Emma. Sheila is preceded by her Parents, William Chaisson and Elverda Boudreaux Chaisson; Brother, William “Doodie” Chaisson Jr, and Chester. Sheila was a member of the Lafourche Fire District #1 Volunteer Fire Department. She was an active member of her church community and volunteered at Mass as a Church Lecturer, and Eucharistic Minister. She also offered her services to her community as a Religion Teacher and Educator. Sheila also enjoyed the time she spent with her sisters and friends with the Red Hat Ladies. Sheila was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. If it were soccer, book fairs, or ballgames; she loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren and spending time with each grandchild. She was a very giving and caring person who never thought about herself in anyone’s time of need. She will be remembered and loved by all; but never forgotten.
