Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, July 10th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery. Don is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Louviere Callais; sons, Scott Callais (Julie), Corey Callais (Kristie) and Joel Callais (Tiffany); daughter, Cristy Callais; grandchildren, Briana Duet (Brandon), Brenner Callais, Brinkley Callais (Jai Clevenger), Byron Domangue (Meagan Coleman), Peyton Callais, Maddox Callais, Alaina Collins and Alexis Collins; great-grandchildren, Liam Dominique and Carson Chauvin. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson, Sr. and Pearl Alario Callais; grandson, Brodie Callais. Don worked at State Bank in Golden Meadow and South Lafourche Bank until his retirement. Don was an avid fisherman, especially with his Dad. He loved playing golf. As a young man, he played basketball and baseball for Golden Meadow High School and under his Dad's coaching played softball with the Golden Meadow Rebels for many years. Before his Neurological condition hampered his lifestyle, he enjoyed playing, participating and coaching many sports. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren and will be missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to LOS Home Health, Amedysis Home Health and Journey Hospice.
