Marie Louise Carrere, 88, a native and resident of Houma, La. died on July 4, 
2017 at 6:00 AM.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 9:00AM at Our Lady 
of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Houma, La.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Donna Carrere of Houma, La, Granddaughters, 
Gizelle Fortenberry Liner of Houma, La., Olivia Fortenberry of Monroe, La., and 
Tiffany Fortenberry Womack of Tampa, Fl.; and three great-grandsons, Kurden and 
Grayson Liner of Houma, La., and Johnathan Womack of Tampa, Fl.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Carrere; her parents, Noah 
Melancon and Marie Tabor Melancon; sisters, Irene Robichaux, Mildred Leonard 
and Mabel Falgout; and brothers, Ulysse Melancon and Amos Melancon.
