DOUCET, BERNICE R. 

Bernice R. Doucet, 80, a native and a resident of Golden Meadow, passed away on 
Sunday, July 9, 2017.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in 
Cut Off, from 10 a.m. until funeral time. A funeral service will be held at 12 
p.m., with burial at Cheramie Cemetery to follow.

Bernice is survived by her children, Evans Doucet and Mona Susie Borne (Rusty); 
sister, Bertha Griffin; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-
great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and 
five step-great-great-grandchildren.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Fornest Doucet; parents, Evans 
and Annie Boudreaux Rogers; daughter, Lola Borne; brother, Milton Rogers; 
sisters, Rose Bud Bruce, Beatrice Borne, and Lou Anna Strickland; and 
granddaughter, Lisa Rogers.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
