At the age of 102, she passed peacefully at 4:13 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017. A Catholic mass and Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black at a later date. Affectionally known as “MaMa”, she is survived by six children: Carolyn D. Riser; Myron J. Dupre’ and wife Stephanie; Sybil D. Webb and husband, Tandy; Maurice (Moe) J. Dupre’, Jr. and wife Lisa; Lolita D. Bader and husband, Joe; and Kenneth P. Dupre’ and wife Crystal. She will be sadly missed by twelve grandchildren; Deb Jordan; Brad and Brett Dupre’; Tandi W. Dillon; Matt Webb; Melissa D. Hopple; Lauren D. Vick; Melanie B. Rouse; Ricki B. Barker; and Reagan, Haley, and Christopher Dupre’; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice J. Dupre’, Sr.; her parents, Theophile Blanchard and Mary Rose Trahan Blanchard; infant daughter, Wanda Marie Dupre’; son-in-law Robert Riser; granddaughter, Jenna Marie Jordan; six brothers: Morris Blanchard; Curtis Blanchard; Enos Blanchard; Anthony “Toney” Blanchard; Owen (Tee) Blanchard; Carl J. Blanchard; and two sisters: Lorraine Guidry and Eva Hebert. “Ms. Mildred” was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a long-time member of the Catholic Daughters Society. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling. The family is deeply grateful for all her special caregivers over the past five years, as well as Journey Hospice Care and their dedicated staff for the excellent care she received. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in her memory to a local charity or church of your choice.
