Timothy Mark Gibbens, 56, a native of Schriever and resident of Houma, LA, died 
peacefully at his residence on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. 
Bridget's Catholic Church in Schriever, where a Mass of Christian Burial will 
follow.

He is survived by his three daughters, Sarah Gibbens of Baton Rouge, LA, Amy 
LeBlanc and husband Brad, of Port Allen, LA, Kaitlin Jordan and husband, 
Stephen of Port Allen, LA one son, Richard Thomas Gibbens IV of Baton Rouge; 
two grandchildren, Sydney June LeBlanc and Joanna Grace Jordan; his mother, 
Brenda Duet Gibbens, of Schriever; sisters Kathy Gibbens of Nevada City, CA, 
Robin Page and her husband Robert, of Houma, Vickie Eserman and her husband 
Reggie, of Raceland.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Richard Gibbens, III.

He attended Spartan School of Aeronautics. As a talented mechanic, Tim helped 
many people over the years. He loved restoring things that were broken, dead, 
and deemed worthless back into working order, just as Christ restores our 
broken, dead hearts back to life so that they may produce good fruit for His 
glory. He was a loving and kind father and friend. His humility and willingness 
to serve others will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Center for Traditional 
Louisiana Boat Building, 202 Main Street, Lockport, Louisiana 70374.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park - Houma, Gray, LA is in charge of the 
arrangements.
