Rowe was born in Homer, Louisiana on April 16, 1936 and a long-time resident of Houma, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time, with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. in Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gray, Louisiana, immediately following the funeral service. Rowe leaves behind his wife of 47 years Lucy Borne Goodwin, 7 children: Daniel Goodwin and wife Kristi, Pamela Bunn, Patty Goodwin, Dwaine Goodwin, Rodney Goodwin, Donald Goodwin and wife Amanda, and Rowe Perry Goodwin, Jr and wife Tabitha; 6 grandchildren: Daniel and Ashley, Takisha and Jordan, Alli, and Cohen Anthony Goodwin. He also leaves behind 3 great grandchildren and his brothers: John "Tommy" Goodwin, Jerry Lee Goodwin, and Donnie Dale Goodwin. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarice Perry and Edward Lee Goodwin, his brother Ben Goodwin and his sisters Bettie Anne Lee and Cindy Goodwin. Rowe was a Veteran, a Shriner, and a member of the American Legion. Special thanks to Dr Russel Henry, Dr Maidoh, Dr Gupta, Fresenius Dialysis Center, TGMC, Bayou Home Care, Terrebonne Council on Aging, Heritage Manor, St Catherine's Hospice, and all of his caregivers especially his lil buddy, Cohen, who provided care and support during his courageous battle.
