Vernon J. Granier Sr., age 78, a native of Edgard and resident of Vacherie, 
died July 5, 2017.

A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in 
Chackbay, LA on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 8:00 AM until funeral time. A 
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM. 

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery.

He is survived by his long-time companion Virginia F. Kliebert; son, Vernon 
Granier Jr. and wife Jocelyn; daughter, Tonia Stockton and husband Jerry; 
grandchildren, Brooke Granier, Slade Stockton, Cindy, Jean and Jody Michael 
Tregre, Hunter, Bryce and Brody Kliebert. Great grandchildren, Clinton Leger 
and Lily and Blake Woo; sister, Noelie Theriot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Noelie Waguespack Granier; 
brothers, Albin Jr., Warren, Arthur and Henry Granier; sisters, Dorothy 
Ordoyne, Dollie Mae and Lucille Cortez, Rosalyn Hennen and Joyce Martinez.

He was a retired worker of Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy, LA.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
