She was a native and resident of Houma, LA . Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10 AM until funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home with a Liturgy of the Word at 1 PM. Burial will be held in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery, Houma, LA. She is survived by her son, Julius “Jules” P. Hebert, Jr. and wife, Charlene Haydel; daughters, Jane Lee H. Peatross and husband, Bob, Susan H. Loehr and Carol Ann Hebert; sister, Libby B. Keaney and husband, Eugene; grandchildren, Robby Peatross and wife, Katie, Michael Peatross and wife, Julie, Jeffrey Peatross, Austin, Karoline, Philip, Hunter and Hannah Hebert, Catherine Loehr; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew and Allie Grace Peatross. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Julius “Jimmy” Paul Hebert, Sr; parents, Oscar “O.J.” Joseph and Hazel Agnes Bergeron Bourgeois. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara was a retired para-educator from Terrebonne Parish School Board. She was a lifelong member of the Le Petit Theater of Houma and an active member of Journey of Hope and NAMI. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, dancing, going to plays, arts and crafts, taking care of her grandkids, but most of all she dedicated her life to caring for her special needs daughter Carol.
