Janice T. Lassere, 73, a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Vacherie, LA 
passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Our Lady 
of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, LA from 8:00am until the Mass of Christian 
Burial at 11:00am. 

The burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Vacherie, LA.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Errol "Boogie" J. Lassere, 
Sr.; sons, Desmond Lassere and wife, Ashley, and Errol J. Lassere, Jr.; 
daughters, Francesca L. Cortez and husband, Terrance, Gwendolyn L. Wilcox and 
husband, Houston, and Christina L. Doucet and husband, John; brothers, Harris 
Trosclair, Jr. and Rudy Trosclair; grandchildren, Shelby, Hailey, Katie, Gracie 
and Hayley, Mamie and husband, Corey, Brandi, Emily, Tracey and boyfriend, 
Nick, Ty, Lex and wife, Coti, Houston Ralph, Dustin, and Bethany; great-
granddaughter, Tylie Hingle; numerous nieces and nephews; and long time best 
friend, Bernadette Labat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris Trosclair, Sr. and Earline T. 
Trosclair; and sister, Judy T. Maronge.

She was the greatest home maker doing everything for her kids, from sewing 
clothes to cooking and baking numerous dishes. Her husband would not be the 
person he is today without her touch in sculpting him. She was a wonderful 
friend and neighbor to her community.
