MATTHEWS, SARAH KATE BENNETT 

Sarah Kate Bennett Matthews, 76, a native of Terrebonne and resident of Houma, 
passed away on July 26, 2017. 

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until funeral time 11 a.m. on Saturday, 
Aug. 5, at Residence Baptist Church, 2605 Isaac St. in Houma. 

Burial to follow at Union Benevolent Cemetery. 

Sarah is survived by her sons, Robert K. (Myra) Matthews III, Ryan K. Matthews; 
daughters, Robindel M. (Gregory) Jenkins and Billie J. Evans; sisters, Pearl B. 
Jones, Louise B. (Anthony) Richard, Elizabeth B. Jones and Gloria B. (Lionel) 
Smith; and brother, Warrence Bennett Sr. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zachary and Octavia Nixon Bennett; 
son, Ralph L. Matthews; and sisters, Octavia B. Jones, Ledoria B. Watkins and 
Joann B. Thomas.

Gertrude Geddes Willis - Terrebonne Funeral Home of Houma in charge of service.
