Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1707.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Charles Ray McInnis, 80, a native of Jacksonville, FL, born February 9, 1937 and a resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on July 8, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Landry's Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA from 10:00 am until religious service at 12:00 noon. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Annette McInnis; his sons, Stephen and Michael McInnis; a daughter, Denise Ervin; brothers, George and Earl McInnis; 3 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Amy McInnis; a daughter, Angie McInnis; a brother, James McInnis; and a sister, Betty McInnis. Charles proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Dunn County LST 742 with his brother, Earl McInnis. He was awarded an Associated degree in Diesel Mechanics from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. As a highly respected Gold Certified Master Diesel Mechanic, he was in high demand to many companies throughout the region. He had many interests and eagerly shared his expertise and skill with everyone. He generously gave his time as a decorated volunteer with the National Park Service for over a decade.
