John A. Mire, a native of Raceland and resident of Lockport, passed away on 
Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the age of 57.

Visitation will be held at Holy Savoir Catholic Church on Saturday, July 22, 
2017 from 9:00 am until service time. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the 
church starting at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

John is survived by his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Folse Mire; son, Phillip J. Mire 
(Toni Keller); daughters, Tabitha E. Mire, Megan C. Mire; grandchildren; 
Bradley J. Mire and Vincent C. Matherne; sister, Suzanne Fournier (Wayne).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Lula Mire; daughter, 
Priscilla Mire and grandson, Sammy P. Mire.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Savior Church, 306 School St. Lockport, 
LA 70374; LPDCI / Camp Pelican PO Box 10235 New Orleans, LA 70181 or Lockport 
Public Library, 720 Crescent Ave. Lockport, LA 70374 preferred.
