Murphy "Papa Smurf" Claude Paul Naquin, 54, a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana 
and resident of Bayou Black, Louisiana passed away peacefully surrounded by 
family on July 30, 2017.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at St. 
Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Houma, Louisiana from 8:30 am until the Mass 
of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. 

The burial will follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Thibodaux, 
Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beth Breaux Naquin; children, Destinee 
Naquin and Devan Naquin; mother, Helen Fanguy Lajaunie siblings, Tina Robichaux 
and fiancé, James Roddy and Jessie Naquin; his wife's parents, Daniel Breaux 
and wife, Judy P. Bourg Breaux and Lydia Bergeron Breaux and wife's siblings, 
Lena Breaux, Tricia Breaux, and Jason Breaux and wife, Francine.

He was Preceded in death by his father, Claude Paul Naquin and sister, Mona 
Lisa Theresa Naquin.

He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. 
He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved to fish and always had a smile 
on his face. He loved to joke around and make people laugh. He had a big heart 
and helped anyone that needed it. He was kind-hearted and the best person you 
could meet! He was an awesome husband and father to his two children. He will 
be sadly missed by all!
