Roger, Sr., 90, a native and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away on July 12, 2017. A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church from 8:30 am until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, Louisiana. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Russell and husband Lanny; sons, Noland Roger, Jr. and Christine St. Germain, and Donovan Roger; grandsons, Justin Roger and Christopher Kittle; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ethel Legendre Roger; parents, Robert and Julia Leray Roger; siblings, Clothile Roger Richard, Laura Roger LeBlanc, Beatrice Roger Peltier, Freddie Roger, Flor Roger Guillot, John Roger, Una Roger Borne, Wallace Roger, Lena Roger Tregre, and Peter Roger; daughter-in-law, Maedain Roger. He graduated from LT High School and worked for Railway Express as station agent for many years in Thibodaux, Franklin, and Morgan City. He and the family returned to Thibodaux in 1968 to open and operate CNP Grocery on St. Mary Street. He was also a school bus driver in Lafourche Parish for many years. He served on the Lafourche Parish Council as District 1 councilman. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and supported many local charities. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed working in his shop repairing anything and everything brought his way. The family would like to thank Theresa Legendre Roger and everyone who kindly contributed to his caretaking. Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. ======================
