Charles Stevens Jr., 90, a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on 
Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

A memorial visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 
Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux, LA. from 10:30am until 12:45pm. There will 
be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral at 1:00 pm. 

The internment will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mercedes Daigle Stevens; 
children, Katherine S. Branch and husband, Harold, Anne S. Thibodaux and 
husband, Gerald, Charles J. Stevens and wife, Donna; sister, Lily May Stevens; 
grandchildren, Gerald J. Thibodaux II and wife, Cheryl, Erin T. Guillot and 
husband, Kevin, Heather Thibodaux, Kristi Branch, Alysa Aelvoet and husband, 
Rene, Sarah Shelar and husband, Robert; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles J Stevens, Sr. and Mabel Webre 
Stevens; brothers, Earl, Mirl, and James Stevens; sisters, Nettie, Betty, and 
Helen Stevens; grandchild, Colleen Stevens.

He was one of the original owners of City Bakery. In his spare time, he loved 
to bake, spend time with his family, and fish.

The family would like to thank Dr. Patel and CIS, Dr. J. Plaisance and Family 
Doctor Clinic, and Natalie Landry and Thibodaux Home Health.
The family sends a special thanks to his care givers Heather Thibodaux, Rae 
Thibodaux, and Pamela Coleman.

Landry's Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
