Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2017/f1707.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Anne Elizabeth Boudreaux Trahan, 81, a native of Donner, LA and resident of Bayou Black, died Monday, July 31, 2017, at 5:10 a.m. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Thursday, August 3, 2017 beginning at 8:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Bayou Black Cemetery located next to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Anne was survived by her daughters, Carla Anne Trahan Ellender and husband Paul Ellender of Houma, LA and Patti Trahan Saam of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Charles Aaron Page, III and wife Khloe, Ashleigh Page Simmons, and Erica Lea Page, Mitchell Ray Saam, Jr., Alexander Ray Saam and wife Angel; great- grandchildren, Jimmy Simmons, III, Aidan Simmons, Evan Simmons, Alekzandra Saam, Kooper Saam, Graycen Page, Emma Morrissey, Anastasia Saam, and Mallory Morrissey; brother, Julien “J.D.” Boudreaux; sisters, Georgana Ruth Boudreaux, Amanda Boudreaux Hebert. Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Joseph Trahan, Jr.; parents, Oliver and Lois Pye Boudreaux, sister, Betty Boudreaux Boudreaux. Anne was a Professor of English at Nicholls State University until her retirement after thirty-seven years of service. Anne graduated from Nicholls State University with a Master’s Degree in English, then received her plus thirty from Tulane University. She traveled extensively through Europe and studied a summer at Oxford University in England. Anne was an avid collector of literature. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Russell Henry, Bayou Home Health Care, Journey Hospice and Amy Lavender, niece. They would also like to express their gratitude and love to their Aunt Joyce Trahan for her love and support throughout.
