WHITRACK, GERALDINE AUSTIN 

Geraldine Austin Whitrack, 78, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, passed away peacefully at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 am. Saturday, July 
22, 2017, at The Living Gospel Church, 140 Corporate Drive, Houma. 

Burial will follow in Deweyville Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Austin, Robert (Renita) Whitrack Jr., 
Nelson (Jenell) Whitrack Sr., Gerald (Kathy) Whitrack Sr., Randall (Tylette) 
Whitrack and Kane (Tia) Whitrack Sr.; daughters, Vanessa (James) Smith and 
Claudette (Ronald) Johnson; 34 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, 
Leroy Austin Sr., Gene (Margaret) Austin Sr. and Nelson (Adeline) Austin Jr.; 
and sisters, Rita May (William) Jeff, Iona Jasper, Joan Calloway and Sarah 
Austin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Whitrack Sr.; parents, Nelson 
Sr. and Mildred Wolfe Austin; brothers, Stanley and Claude Austin Sr.; sisters, 
Cynthia A. Calloway and Kathy Austin; paternal grandparents, James and Louise 
Austin; maternal grandparents, Squire Wolfe Sr. and Sarah Picou; in-laws, 
Stanley and Zenobia Whitrack; and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Barnes and Gertrude W. 
Coleman.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
