The date preceding the obituary is the date of newspaper, not the date of death. ================================ Submitted by: Nancy Wright Ernest Aycock The Lafourche Comet, April 23, 1908, page 1, col. 6 Morgan City, La.., April 16, - While attempting to rescue a skiff, which had braken [sic] away from his gasoline launch in Lake Verret, Ernest Aycock, twenty five years of age, suffered with an attack of cramps and was drowned yesterday evening. Theriot went to Thibodaux Monday to attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Gaston A[y]cock, who died very suddenly Sunday (21 Oct 1917) afternoon while returning by buggy from a visit to her father-in-law's.
