Visitation is 5-10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. He was the husband of Verline Abshire Besson; son of Lydia Andras Clause; father of Cynthia Bergeron, Edward Jr., Craig Joseph, Darren James and Dondi Joseph Besson; brother of Gilbert John Jr., Huey Paul, Willie Joseph and David Besson, Mary Dupre, Rose Jones, Barbara Cooley and Carrie Bourgeois. He is also survived by two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert John Besson Sr. =========================== Daily Comet, June 1975 Submitted by: Geri Cavalier MARGUERITE FREMIN BESSON Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. Thursday from Landry's Funeral Home in Labadieville for Marguerite Fremin Besson, who died Tuesday, June 10, 1975 at 9 p.m. Religious services were to follow at St. Philomena Catholic Church. A native of Labadieville, she was 48 years old. She was the wife of the late Harold Besson, she was the mother of Mrs. Jessie Cavalier, Mrs. Percy Thibodaux, Mrs. Ray Bourgeois, Nelson and Charles Besson; she was the sister of Mrs. Wilson Andras Sr. and Roland Fremin; step-sister of Gilbert Fremin; also survived by seven grandchildren. Visitation was set from 4:30 p.m. today until funeral time. May 9, 1977 ??) at 5:20 p.m. at Thibodaux General Hospital. He was the husband of Edna Boudreaux Besson and the father of Janet Besson. He was the brother of Mrs. Pearl Landry, Mrs. Lucille Lasseigne and Leonard and William Besson. Funeral services were scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, from St. Genevieve Catholic Church followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
