Chouest FATALS Galliano teen killed in crash An 18-year-old Galliano man was killed in a fiery crash early Sunday. Corey S. Chouest was heading north on La., 308 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car and smashed into the Tarpon Bridge railing, according to a State Trooper C. press release Chouest's vehicle burst into flames on impact with the bridge. He was trapped inside. No one else was in the vbehicle at the time of the crash. Chouest was the son of Dr. Laney and Margaret Chouest of Galliano. The press release said State Police do not know whether alcohol was involved in the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
