Necrology
JOACHIM GAUDE

  The death of Mr. Gaude, who expired last Monday (28 Apr 1913), came as a 
surprise to many people in Thibodaux and vicinity, as it was not generally 
known that his health was such as to justify fear of his death.  
The deceased was formerly in the mercantile business at Lafourche Crossing, but 
of late years he had devoted his time to agricultural pursuits, wherein he was 
very successful.  
He was a widower, his wife having preceded him to the grave a long number of 
years ago.  He had one daughter, who married a Mr. Felix Gaude, but she also 
passed into eternity some years ago.
He is survived however, by his brother, Mr. F. J. Gaude, and several
sisters.  
His remains were laid to rest Tuesday evening in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
