Oschwald. - After an illness of about four weeks' duration, Mrs. Mamie Oschwald, wife of Charles Oschwald, a leading young druggist of this city, passed peacefully away at her home at 7:40 o'clock this morning. Deceased who had always been in robust health suffered an attack of influenza sometime ago, from which she recovered, but which left her in a weakened condition. About four weeks ago she was taken suddenly ill while attending to her household duties and relapsed into a sort of coma, and despite the most skillful medical attention and good and tender nursing, she never rallied. A few days ago pneumonia developed and she grew steadily worse until she sank into eternal sleep, surrounded by the members of her family. The funeral will take place Monday, leaving the family residence at 10 o'clock a. m., with services and interment at the Catholic church and cemetery in Thibodaux at 11"30 o'clock. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss, two sons: Leonce O. Trepagnier of this city, and Jas. E. Trepagnier, who is with the American army in France; three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Sanarens and Mrs. Albert Walman of Patterson, and Miss Bertha Trepagnier of this city; her step-mother, Mrs. W. S. Jones of Patterson; two brothers, Frank Jones of San Antonio, Tex., and Bertie Jones of Patterson, and one sister, Mrs. Charpentier of Texas. The Chief proffers its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
