The friends in New Iberia of Judge Joseph H. Patin were grieved upon learning of his death which occurred at his home at Lockport on Sunday morning last, January 26th at 10 o'clock. Mr. Patin had reached his 68th year and was a son of the late Capt. C. T. Patin of this City. Almost his entire life, with the exception of the last fifteen years was spent in this community where he was well liked. For many years he served as Justice of the Peace of the Sixth Ward. He was buried from the Catholic church in the above place on Tuesday morning at nine o'clock. Among his relatives who live here is his sister Mrs. John M. Perry, Messrs. Ursin Patin of St. Landry parish; Mr. Achille Patin of St. Martinville and Mr. Frank Patin of New Orleans. He also leaves a widow to mourn him.
