Submitted by Kathy LeMay Kelly, P.O. Box 219, Trout, La. 71371 VIRGIN CEMETERY This cemetery is located near the Virgin Bend on Little River. Take 127 South of Jena going to the Rogers Community, turn left on first gravel road past Webb Store, go to end of gravel and follow dirt road, cemetery is on left a short distance from Little River. This Cemetery has a few marked graves with several unmarked graves out side fence. Evidently some of these graves are of descendants of Levi Virgin, a Steam Boat Captain who plied the waters from Little River to New Orleans. The Burdwell's were friends of Captain Levi, as he was called, according to Mr. Franklin Corley a life long resident of this community.
