Yancey, all of our right, title and interest to the following land: NW 1/4 of NE 1/4, Section 21, Township 9 North, Range 3 East 39. 98/100 acres, with all buildings and improvements. Yancey, was a Methodist minister in old Catahoula Parish, La. He was born about 1818, and died on Feb. 13, 1897. He is buried in the Summerville Cemetery, AKA Methodist Cemetery in Summerville, LaSalle Parish, LA. He was married twice: 1) Eliza A. ______ and 2) Abigail Morris, b. March 27, 1837- Nov. 24, 1920, dgt. of Levi Morris and Frances Dabney Maupin. Edwin Yancey and his 2nd wife, Abigail are buried in the Summerville Cemetery.
