B. - Fifth Governor of Louisiana Dixon, John - Retired Supreme Court Justice of Louisiana, lives in Shreveport Dixon, John - Grandfather of above, Major in Civil War from Winn Parish and served as Clerk of Court in Winn Parish, was on Police Jury later in Rapides Parish. Also was Justice of Peace later in DeSoto Parish. Member and Past Master of Eastern Star Lodge #151 F&AM, Winnfield, LA. Long, George Shannon "Shan" - Brother of Huey and Earl. Was a U.S. Congressman from Louisiana, dentist, attorney, patent medicine inventor and also served in the Oklahoma legislature. Was amember of Tulsa Lodge #425 and a 32 degree. McCain, J. Matt - Was a Confederate hero, Winn Parish State Representative during Post Civil War. Was the man who cast the deciding, tie-breaking vote to end the corrupt Louisiana Lottery during Gov. Murphy Foster's term, c. 1890s. McCain turned down huge bribes the night prior to the vote, believed to be around $100,000.00. He belonged to Montgomery Lodge in Montgomery, LA. Passman, Otto - Lousiana Congressman who was a member of Collegetown Lodge which is now Dee A. Strickland Lodge. Was also Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana. Rarick, John - Congressman from Baton Rouge- Feleciana Parish area. Robinson, Johnny - LSU football great, All pro defensive back, college coach, now runs a boys' home in Monroe. Roemer, Buddy - Former Governor of Louisiana from Shreveport. Sanders, J. Y. - Governor of Louisiana Sanders, J. Y.
