WALKER Osteopathic Physician 22-23 Olympia Block Ellensburg, Washington Nov. 14, 1926 Miss Betty Ezelle Jena, La. Dear Betty: I have been trying to get an old Smith's English Grammar like we used to study at the old Jena School when we went to school there. If you can find one of those old books for me I shall certainly appreciate it. I have been unable to find one of those old books because they have been out of print for some time. If you can find one please send it to me C.O.D. I enjoyed my trip to the old home place six years ago, but I did not get to stay half long enough. No doubt many changes have taken place since I saw you, but I am hoping for another visit to my old childhood haunts before many months have passed. Things have changed a lot since I was a boy, but I would like to bring my three boys to the places where I used to play when I was a boy. Where is DeWitt and what is he doing? Was sorry that I did not get to see him when I was down there. How is Aurelia? I visited her at Gueydan, for a few minutes. Would like to hear from any body out in that community. Almost anything you write would be news to me. Give my regards to any of my old friends whom you may see, and tell them I have not forgotten the days of long ago. Hoping you can find a copy of that old Smith's Grammar, I remain as ever You friend, L H. Walker NOTES BY TRANSCRIBER, Patricia E.
