Saturday for Chester F. Allien, 26, Jena oil field worker who was killed in an auto accident north of Alexandra Friday. Services were held at the Belah Methodist church near here. Burial, under direction of the Hixon Funeral home of Jena, was in the church cemetery. Allien was fatally injured when his auto smashed into the guard rail of a bridge near Simms, in Grant parish, about 17 miles north of Alexandria. Three other persons in the car with him were also injured. The injured persons are: Willie Hatfield, 23, of Nebe [sic Nebo], a sailor home on leave, Elizabeth Ware, 30, of Tullos, and Rosie S. Whitehead, 23 of Urania. Hatfield suffered a fractured skull and fractured left leg. Miss Ware is being treated for bruises and lacerations of the face, and Miss Whitehead sustained a fractured skull, multible [sic multiple] lacerations of the face, and internal injuries. State police headquarters at Alexandria said Allien was driving north at a speed of about 70 miles per hour when his auto rammed into the bridge railing. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Alice V. Allien of Jena; one grandmother, Mrs. W.H. Kennon of Jena ; four brothers, Odis, Lonnie and Shelby Allien, all of Jena, and Brady Allien of Gulfport, Miss.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lois Mockerman and Mrs. Orlean Cripps, both of Jena. NOTE: Chester was the son of Alice and Deanie Allien. Deanie was the Brother of the submitter's Great Grandmother.
