Father of Local Man Buried In Jena December 19

Funeral services were held for Henry Allen Anders, 83, of Jena, father of 
Jesse O. Anders of Winnfield, at the Nolly Memorial Methodist Church in Jena 
December 19.  A retired farmer who formerly lived near Atlanta, Mr. Anders 
died December 18 in Alexandria.

Rites were conducted by the Rev. Spinks, pastor of Jena church, assisted by 
Rev. P. M. Caraway, pastor of the Winnfield Methodist Church.  Interment 
was in the Nolly Methodist Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Roy L. Anders of Shreveport, formerly
of Winnfield;f Vallejo, Calif., Reginald H. Anders of
Natchitoches, and Jesse O. Anders of Winnfield;  two daughters, 
Mrs. Paul G. Polk of Alexandria and Mrs. J. O. Shelwick of Baton Rouge;
three brothers, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
