She was a homemaker, and the wife of the late William Basham. Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 4, in Justiss Memorial Methodist Church at Trout with the Revs. George Reech and Doug Davis officiating. Interment followed in Eden Cemetery in the Eden Community under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Aubin B. King of Olla and June B. Plunket of Jena; one son, William "Buddy" Basham of College Station, Tx.; two sisters Mary Pick Pipes of Trout and Wilma Gross of Houston, Tx.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ben Reid, Ray Bailey, Jerry Peavey, Earl Wayne Peavy, Danny Cole and John Cannon. Honorary pallbearers were James King, Darry King, Lance Bahsam and James Harlan.
