A homemaker, she was born July 27, 1930 in Hot Spricngs, Arkansas to the union of Otto and Gracie Stinnett Hayes. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 3, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with the Revs. Bobby Cruse, Larry Adkins, Johnny Barnhill and Ron Bray officiating. Internment followed at the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. Survivors include her husband, T. Calvin Baum of Tyler, Texas; three sons, William Baum and Bruce Baum, both of Olla and Roger Dale Baum of Winnsboro; four daughters, Wilma Carter of Urania, Brenda Jones of Clarks, Wanda "Susie" Stevens of Olla, and Tammy Harris of Lake Charles; two sisters, Emma Jean Morgan of Livingston, Tx. And Aline Cook of Hot Springs, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Date: Wednesday, January 27, 1999 Houston Ray Baum Houston Ray Baum, 63, of Grayson, died Wednesday, January 20, 1999, at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. He was a retired driller with Eagle Drilling Company. He was born October 20, 1935 at Olla to the union of Thomas and Rose Levins Baum. Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 23, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with the Revs. Gary Sanders and Willie Beaubouef officiating. Interment followed in the Adams Cemetery west of Kelly under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include his wife, Frances Gough Baum of Grayson; four sons, Roy Baum of Winnfield, Kenny Whatley of Nashville, Tn., Melton Baum of Ozark, Ark. Date: July 31, 1964 Headline: Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Rose Baum Olla Mrs. Rose Baum of Olla died Monday, July 20 at 12:45 in Winnfield. She was 53 years old and a member of the Olla First Baptist church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 22 at 10 a.m. In the First Baptist church of Olla with the Rev. B. B. Cox officiating. Burial was in Harris Chapel cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral home of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Baum; nine sons, Calvin Baum of Tyler, Texas, R. B. Date: April 30, 2003; Page 11A Headline: Thomas Calvin Baum Thomas Calvin Baum, 75, of Olla, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at LaSalle General Hospital of Jena, following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II, and was a retired truck driver. He was born on May 23, 1927, in LaSalle Parish to the union of his parents, Tom and Rose Levins Baum and was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hays Baum. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aprisl 29, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Johnny Barnhill officiating. Interment followed in the Harris Chapel Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
