Dade Dies of First Degree Burns Is Pineville Hospital R.B. Dade 27 years, Bastrop, La. Who escaped from L.T.I. Monroe, La. Last week died of first degree burns in the Pineville hospital early part of last week. The boy after escaping from this Institution stole a pickup truck from Leo Baker who was staying in Pollock enroute to Jena. He stopped at Mrs. Stringers Services Station to get gas and drove off without paying for it, later near White Sulphur Springs thinking he was out of gas he struck a match catching his gas afire and received bad burns from the waist up. Sheriff Floyd was called to the scene and carried the boy to the hospital and notified the Institution head of his capture.
