Edwards, 73, of Humble, Texas, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, in Humble. Graveside services ere held Monday, March 9, in Rosewood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Humble with Rev. Jerry Chaddrick officiating. He was a native of Pollock, and a former resident of Georgetown. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving as a warrant officer and retired from Texaco Chemical in Port Neches, Texas, with 30 years service. He was a member of the Baptist faith serving for years as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Doris Autrey Edwards of Humble; one son, Don Edwards; one daughter, Jamie Porter; one brother, Jess Larry Edwards; two sisters, Doris Ray Autrey and Betty Janzen; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
