Elliott, 75, of Jena, died at 9:05 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 1998, at the Woods Haven Nursing Home of Pollock. He was a retired carpenter and member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Jena. He was a U. S. veteran. He was born March 8, 1923, at Waverly to the union of Charles and Ozalie Chestnut Elliott. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Jena with the Revs. Crawford Coon and James Worthington officiating. Interment followed in the Nebo Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Inc., of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Eula Mae Elliott of Jena; five sons, Murphy Elliott of Nebo, James Elliott of Jonesville, Dennis Elliott of Jena, Don Elliott of French Fork and Monte Elliot of Belah; four brothers, Grover Elliott of Jonesville, Hairam Elliott of El Dorado, Ark., Charles Haywood Elliott of Plain Dealing and Bobby Elliott of Aimwell; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Matthew Elliott, Brad Elliott, Michael Elliott, Jeremy Elliott, Josh Elliott and Jared Elliott with the remainder of the grand- children serving as honorary pallbearers.
