She was a homemaker. Services were held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 26, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Craig James and Gary Norris officiating. Interment followed in the Tidwell Cemetery of Nebo under arrangements by Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. Survivors include one daughter, Violet Smith of Jena; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren and several step-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Huey Smith, Jr., Ricky Entrekin, Philip Entrekin, Derek Brian, Justin Paul, Carl Smith III, and Johnny Shelton. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Brian, J. L. Paul, and Carl Smith.
