Everett M. "Pat" Estis

Everett M. "Pat' Estis, 75, of Olla, died Monday, January 25, 1999, at
Hardtner Medical Center in Urania following an extended illness.

He was a retired employee of International Paper Company and a veteran of
World War II. He was born August 2, 1923 at Manifest to the union of Sam and
Ellen Sikes Estis

Services will be held today (Wednesday) January 27, at Pine Hill Baptist
Church of Urania with the Revs. Ed Smith, Denver McBroom and Tommy Estis
officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery under direction of Riser
Funeral Home of Columbia.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Aplin Estis of Olla; three sons, Sherwin
"Buddy" Estis of Olla, Charles Estis of Haughton and Larry Estis of Olla; one
daughter, Danita Estis McDonald of Alexandria; two brothers, Ray Estis of
Manifest and Houston Estis of Vidalia; two sisters, Irma Heard of Manifest and
Mary "Chee" Ford of Donaldsville; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
