A.L. "Pete" Evans, age 77, of Harrisonburg (La.) died at 5:55 a.m. Friday,
16 Jul 1993 in Riverland Medical Center, Ferriday (La.).  He was a retired
member of the Louisiana State Board of Health, a retired farmer and had
served on the Catahoula Parish Police Jury, 1974-78.  Survivors:  Wife,
Snooks (sic) Evans of Harrisonburg.  3 Sons:  Marcus Lynn Evans & George
Max Evans, both of Harrisonburg; and Lanual (sic) Dale Evans of Jena (La.).
 4 Daughters:  Patsy Nell Dickerson of Pocatello, Idaho; Helen Mary
Bradford of Jena; Linda Gayle Head of West Monroe (La.); and Sandra Ann
Ramsey of Jonesville (La.).  5 Brothers:  Joe Evans & C.F. Evans, both of
Jonesville; Vernon Evans & Johnny Evans, both of Harrisonburg; and Jack
Evans of Winnfield (La.).  3 Sisters:  Georgia Lee and Louise Stevens, both
of Natchez, Miss.; and Mary Sue Flacy (sic) of West Monroe.  15
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Services:  Will be at 3 p.m.
today in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Koinm (sic),
C.B. Renfrow and S.B. Spinks officiating.  Burial:  In Heard Cemetery,
under direction of Hixson Bros. (Funeral Home), Jena.
