FIFE, Sammie Powell

100, of Tullos, died Monday, October 6, 1997 at LaSalle General
Hospital of Jena.

  She was a homemaker and a member of the Olla Congregation 
of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was born in Yazoo City, Miss. on
December 14, 1896.

   Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997 at the chapel of
Riser and Son Funeral Home in Olla.

   Interment followed in the Lowe Cemetery east of Kelly under
direction of Riser and Son, Olla.

   Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Babcock of Tullos;
nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-
grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
