She was a founder and charter member of Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Floyd was the wife of the late William Ben Floyd of Jena. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Wilbanks, Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery of Jena with arrangements by Kinner and Stevens of Jena. Mrs. Floyd is survived by five children, Riley J. Thompson of Holden, Missiouri; Jake Floyd of Ft. Worth, Texas; Avis Hoover of Jena; Daphne King of New Orleans and Edith Lola of New Orleans; five step-children, B.C. Floyd of Tyler, Texas, Clifford E. Floyd of Port Neches, Texas, LeRoy Floyd of Tyler, Texas, D.R. Floyd of Haynesville and Mrs. Valeria Stewart of Crockett, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Bennett of Jonesville; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
