W. D. "Brother" Franklin

W.D. "Brother" Franklin, 73, of Olla, died Saturday, May 2, 1998 at the
Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, following a brief illness.

Willie Dee "Brother" Franklin was born on January 4, 1925 at Manifest to the
union of Meredith and Henrietta Cruse Franklin.

He was a retired logger.

Services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, from the Olla Chapel of Riser
Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Cruse officiating.

Interment followed in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla under direction of
Riser, Olla.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Franklin of Olla; two sons, Gene Franklin
and Randy Franklin, both of Urania; one sister, Velma Martin of Goodpine; and
four granddaughters.

Pallbearers were Olan Coolman, Eddie Coolman, Trey Brooks, Lando Raspberry,
Shawn Byrd and Glen Coolman.

Honorary pallbearers were Tony Franklin and Donnie Morrow.
