Finley Samuel Jefferson Finley, 58, of Baton Rouge, died at the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge on January 1, 1982. He was a logging engineer, member of the Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Eden Methodist Church with Rev. James Adams and Rev. J. T. Cupples, officiating. Burial followed at the Eden Cemetery with with arrangements by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Finley of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Miss Jo Allison Finley of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Patty Daigie of Jena and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davis of Tullos; two sons, Forrest O'Neal Finley of Baton Rouge and Sammy Curtis of Jena; a brother, Milton Finley of Jena; a sister, Mrs. Mary P. Cary of Jena; his mother, Mrs. Inez Whatley of Jena; and 7 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Paul M. Greer, Wayne Jones, Nimrod Andrews, Jean Andrews, Jimmie Hall and John Hall.
